On the 8th June 2018, the Institute for Public Security of Catalonia - ISPC led the fifth ISM-KA Expert panel, which took place at the ISPC headquarter in Barcelona, Spain.
In addition to ISPC representatives of the ISM-KA project, the meeting was attended by members of the Catalan Police Force responsible for International cooperation programs as well as by the person in charge to manage the higher education programs at ISPC.
The main aim of the Expert panel was to discuss the current storyboard developed as the backbone of the Master’s Programme on “International Security Management” that will be delivered as one of the main outcomes of the ISM-KA project. More in detail, the discussion focused on outlining both strengths and weaknesses of the current approach in order to improve it with respect to real requirements and needs from the experts involved in the security field.
Very positive results have been achieved and relevant comments have been collected from the experienced Panel of experts, which expressed a concrete endorsement to the rising ISM Master’s Programme.
With this fruitful meeting, the first round of Expert Panels is concluded providing the ISM-KA Consortium with relevant inputs and materials to re-model both the contents and structure of this innovative Educational tool taking into account the impressions highlighted during all the five Expert Panel meetings organized since the beginning of the Project. During the following months of ISM-KA, further two rounds of Panel meetings will be dedicated to validate the final content of the Master’s Programme as well as to present the official First Edition to the public.
