On the 8 March 2018, both the ISM-KA Consortium and the Advisory Board members met at the Centre of Excellence in Public Safety Management – CESAM of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The “International Security Management Knowledge Alliance” (ISM-KA) project reached the fifteenth month of its life, and the Consortium members (i.e. RSM, CENTRIC, FORMIT, POLITIE, ISPC, LCI, EC) have been hosted by RSM with the aim at making the point on the status in which the Project stands as well as at fixing common arguments to jointly proceed towards a proactive implementation of the main activities expected within the ISM-KA framework.
The first half of the day, restricted to the ISMKA Consortium members, was dedicated to share, discuss and plan the main tasks related to each Work Package as well as to find agreements upon the most relevant aspects related to the management of the project outcomes. As a further value added, the discussion was supported by the EU project officer Corinne Leveque who positively contributed to the activities fostering a proactive dialogue among all the project partners and providing useful response to any doubts eventually raised up with regard to the project development.
During the afternoon, the Consortium members opened the doors to the ISMKA Advisory Board. After a preliminary presentation of the ongoing activities and of the outcomes already achieved, an open discussion actively involved all the attendees. More in detail, particular attention was paid to the identification of the most suitable way to deliver the project results. In this regard, the positive synergy grown up among the Consortium and the Advisory members facilitated the definition of the feasible path the ISMKA partners should cover to respect both end users and stakeholders’ expectations. The just concluded meetings signed almost the end of the first half of the project lifecycle, underlining the necessity to move the focus on the practical activities necessaries to prepare, produce and deliver all the expected outcomes of the ISMKA project. According to that, all the Consortium members, supported by the project AB, have demonstrated a concrete cohesion that leaves favorable hope for the achievement of all the agreed results.
