We are happy to inform you on the next steps we made in the development of the ISM-KA project.
Expert panels
We integrated feedback from the Advisory Board meeting in London (March 2017) in the further development of the work packages. One of the outcomes from the meeting was, that we need to consider also specific national needs in order to shape the master. This insight led to the creation of ‘National Expert Panels’. We are happy to inform you that the first German Expert Panel is established. We have invited German stakeholders to our joint workshop with one of our German members of the advisory board, Prof. Schraudner from the Fraunhoferinstitut, on "International Security Management". On Wednesday, September 27, we will hold a small workshop at the Fraunhofer Institute "Center for Responsible Research and Innovation" in Berlin.
Deliverables
Other progress we made is the delivery of a document regarding the Horizon scanning of International security challenges. This document is the first in a series of irregular reports of the Work Package 1. It sets out the scope and structure of the Horizon Scanning Tool and outlines its development, use and content development and population; who will use it and how. A key purpose of the continuous horizon scanning element of the project is to enable businesses, professionals and academics to continuously update their knowledge in relation to all aspects of security. The document will be made public in a short while on this website.
Save the date 8/9 March 2018
In March 2018, we schedule the second Advisory Board meeting as well as the third consortium meeting. The following day we will have an international symposium on security challenges. Please save the date for 8 and 9 March 2018, in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). These activities coincide to the inauguration of Gabriele Jacobs. A new academic chair that aims to actively contribute to knowledge of culture and management has been created at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). Dr Gabriele Jacobs has been appointed as Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Culture in the new chair, which is endowed by the Erasmus Trustfonds (Erasmus Trust Fund).
